Steve Wariner celebrates 25 years as a Grand Ole Opry member twice — first as part of the show’s telecast and livestreamed portion on Saturday, then again on Tuesday, May 11, the actual anniversary date. Wariner joined the cast May 11, 1996, performing his 1992 hit “A Woman Loves,” as well as a duet of “Tips of My Fingers” with Bill Anderson. Also, Wariner and Chet Atkins teamed up on “Have I Told You Lately That I Love You?”
Wariner first performed on the Opry as a member of Dottie West’s band and toured and recorded with Opry member Luman before being signed to RCA Records by Atkins in 1977.
