I’m not going to lie… I’m not one to use instruction manuals. Normally I just put things together and hope for the best. When stuff starts to hit the fan… I have my dad and brother on speed dial. They usually can walk me through it over facetime, but not always. I try to be handy, but sometimes that’s not possible.
This weekend I was too embraced to call them but I defiantly needed help! Part of the fire recovery process is buying all new things. I recently got a butcher block and new knives. There were just enough slits for the knives to go in. I spent an hour trying to figure out which knives went with which slit. I was always left with one out. There were no instructions in the box and the picture on the outside wasn’t helpful at all because all the knives looked the same. I was cussing and on the phone with my friend while trying to figure out this puzzle. She was laughing so hard. My adulting skills eventually kicked in and I YouTubed it. There are smarter folks out there than me! After that video, I had the thing put together in a matter of minutes.
I totally wish I could have had instructions because for once in my life I would have used them. This brings up the question, do you use instructions? You either really love them or really hate them! There’s no in-between. Let us know what you think! Do you love them or hate them?
