The Pierre School Board has put together a list of goals for the district for the upcoming school year.
Supt. Dr. Kelly Glodt says they came up with five areas to focus on, one of which is school safety.
Glodt says they’ll be reviewing and revising the crisis plans for all of the district’s buildings.
Glodt says teaching and learning is another goal.
Other goals include ongoing mental and physical wellness for students and staff, reinforcing the importance of students attending classes and being persistent about doing required classwork and involving the community in the education they’re providing and any future facility improvements they’re considering.
