SIOUX FALLS – Two Pierre errors helped the Sioux Falls Sunfish scored three tie-breaking runs in the fifth inning Friday in a 6-1 win over the Pierre Trappers at Karras Park.
A wild pitch scored the Trappers’ run in the first inning. Sioux Falls scored a run in the third, then had the big fifth inning, aided by errors by Brendon Perez and Jakob Newman. Ryun Cross struck out seven in five innings, but took the loss.
Pierre (2-5) will host Sioux Falls Saturday night at 7:05 at Hyde Stadium.
