MINOT, ND – The Pierre Trappers couldn’t overcome an early 6-0 deficit Saturday and lost 8-6 to the Souris Valley Sabre Dogs at Corbett Field to fall for the ninth straight game.
Pierre (6-14) scored three in the ninth inning to cut Souris Valley’s lead to two runs and had the bases loaded with one out before Colin Adams grounded into a double play to end the game. Eric Mast drove in two runs for the Trappers.
Losing pitcher Mason Torve lasted just one inning and allowed five runs.
