The Pierre Rural Volunteer Fire Department extinguished a fire in a 40 x 50 pole barn north of Pierre yesterday (Tues.) afternoon.
Pierre fire chief Ian Paul, who also volunteers with the Pierre Rural Fire Department, was the incident commander.
Paul says, once again, fighting a fire involves interagency cooperation.
The structure was a complete loss.
