Investigation into burned vehicle, body in rural Clay County continues

Agents with the state Division of Criminal Investigation, in conjunction with the Clay County Sheriff’s Office and the South Dakota Highway Patrol, are conducting an investigation on a vehicle found burned with a body inside in rural Clay County earlier this week (June 22, 2021).

Division of Criminal Investigation Director David V. Natvig says there is no threat, at this time, to the public and investigators are not looking for any suspects.
