A 50-year-old Fort Thompson woman is facing charges after a traffic accident yesterday (Mon.) in Pierre.
The Pierre Police Department reports officers were called to the 800 block of East Sioux Avenue for a non-injury traffic crash which occurred in a parking lot. During the investigation officers learned the license plates on the vehicle driven by Katherine Laroche did not belong to that vehicle and had been intentionally substituted. In addition, Laroche had a suspended driver’s license and did not have current financial responsibility documentation for the vehicle.
Laroche was arrested for Substitution of License Plates, Driving Under Suspension and Failure to Maintain Financial Responsibility. She was taken to the Hughes County Jail.
Minor damage was reported to both vehicles.
