East boat ramp at Indian Creek Recreation Area near Mobridge closed; West ramp remains open

The South Dakota Game, Fish and Parks Department has closed the East boat ramp at Indian Creek Recreation Area near Mobridge because of the low water level.

GFP says there are mounds of silt with rocks appearing off the concrete ramp. With those areas only a couple feet deep, GFP closed the ramp to prevent damage to boats and/or trailers loading at the ramp.

The West boat ramp remains open throughout the season. If water levels remain low or drop further, the East low-water ramp will be ready for use by springtime next year (2022).
