Earth, Wind & Fire have released a new version of their Grammy nominated hit, “Can’t Hide Love,” now titled “You Want My Love.” According to the group, this will be the first of many collaborations to be globally released in the coming months.
The song fuses the musical sounds of nine-time Grammy winners, Earth, Wind & Fire with vocals by contemporary star, Lucky Daye and guitars by renowned hitmaker Kenny “Babyface” Edmonds. It’s described as a “modern take “that keeps the spirit of the original version alive.
Earth, Wind & Fire’s Philip Bailey called it an honor to join forces with Daye and Edmonds. Bailey said, “I truly believe we’ve created a winner all the way.”
This year marks the 45th anniversary of the chart-topping single, which was originally released on the ‘studio side’ of Earth, Wind & Fire’s double-live album, Gratitude, in 1975.
Over the weekend, Earth, Wind, & Fire played at the NYC Homecoming Concert in Central Park. It was watched by thousands in the crowd and millions on International television.
