The Pierre Regional Airport has surpassed the 10,000 enplanement mark for this year, making it eligible for $1 million in funding from the Federal Aviation Administration.
City commissioner Jamie Huizenga says it’s nice to have that goal behind us.
Huizenga says we’re heading into the airport’s busy season and the increase in traffic comes from both commercial and private planes.

-
August: 1665 (505 Denver Air Connection; 1160 SkyWest)
-
July: 1924 (581 Denver Air Connection; 1343 SkyWest)
-
June: 1428
-

No parking is being allowed on either side of Northstar Avenue until the Airport Road project is finished. The scheduled completion date is Oct. 15, 2021.
