A 19-year-old Pierre man faces multiple drug charges after being arrested yesterday (Mon.).
The Pierre Police Department reports an officer observed a vehicle being operated by Johnny Koenig, Jr. traveling in the 100 Block of East Sioux Avenue. The officer, aware Koenig’s driver’s license was suspended and he had an outstanding bench warrant, stopped the vehicle. Upon investigation, illegal drugs and paraphernalia were discovered.
Koenig was taken into custody for the warrant and additionally charged with Possession of a Controlled Drug or Substance, Possession of Less than 2 ounces of Marijuana, Possession of Drug Paraphernalia, Ingestion of a Controlled Drug or Substance, Ingestion of a Substance to Become Intoxicated and Driving While Suspended.
He was taken to the Hughes County Jail.
