UPDATE:
This stretch of road is now back open.
An eastbound stretch of Interstate 90 between Vivian and Presho is temporarily closed because of a traffic incident.
The closure starts about 1.50 miles east of the Vivian Exit (214). That segment of I-90 is undergoing construction and is reduced to one lane of eastbound traffic. A disabled vehicle is blocking the open lane so an eight mile detour has been established and eastbound traffic will be re-routed until further notice.
The following road construction projects are in progress:
•from 2.50 miles west of Junction US 83 North and South Dakota 53 South-Exit 212 to 0.50 mile east of Junction US 183-Presho Exit 226 – pavement repair and bridge repair with lanes reduced to 1 until Friday, November 22, 2019.
•from 0.75 mile west of Junction South Dakota 47 North-Reliance to Oacoma-Exit 260 – paving with width limit 12 ft, speed limit 65 mph, traffic routed to opposing lanes, and lanes reduced to 1 until further notice.
