During high school, Larry worked at Bud’s Texaco and also at Jobs body shop after graduation. He worked there until he was drafted into the Army. When he returned home, he worked at Davidson’s Chevrolet in the body shop, until starting to work at L.L. Insulation traveling with Steve Merkel for years. Larry also worked for API for several years, Combustion Engineering for many years and Deltak until his retirement at the age of 61.

He enjoyed anything to do with cars and hunting, which included snakes, deer, pheasants, trap shooting, and just hanging out with his friends. This was especially true on Friday afternoon’s “Cooler Time”, at the Fireside with Kenton and Jim.
