One of the biggest areas of need during the fall and winter months are socks. Many people are surprised to hear that socks are the least-donated clothing items and yet the most in-demand for needy locals. To help alleviate this need, the Stanley County student council collected over 400 pairs of new socks during “Socktober” (Oct. 2021). The donated socks were donated to Missouri Shores Domestic Violence Center to be disbursed to local families in the Stanley and Hughes County areas.
