The Walworth County Commission held their last meeting of 2021 on Thursday (Dec. 30th).
Commissioner Kevin Holgard wanted to add to the agenda discussion regarding the appointment of Commissioner Justin Jungwirth for District 5.
County Auditor Eva Cagnones told the commissioners that Chairman Jim Houck had asked to have the discussion at the first meeting in January so both he and State’s Attorney Jamie Hare can be present. Commissioner Houck, on speaker phone, told the board there is no issue with Jungwirth representing District 5.
The commission then passed a motion to approve the agenda, with Commissioner Holgard voting against.
A motion was approved to move a $10,000.00 H.B.R. budget item into Highway Services and Fees. Highway Superintendent Gary Byre would like to eliminate the H.B.R. expenses line item at the next meeting for the 2022 budget.
Under Old Business Commissioner Duane Mohr wanted people to know that the Sheriff’s Department was hauling twenty-five prisoners on Wednesday, December 29th. Mohr said Sheriff Josh Boll’s daily prisoner average for the year is 15.
