The Emergency Snow Alerts in both Pierre and Fort Pierre have been lifted, but city trash collection in Pierre has been postponed until Monday (March 18).
Fort Pierre city crews continue to clear streets, so residents are still asked to be sure vehicles are out of the way.
In Pierre, on-street parking along snow routes is again allowed. City street crews are now focusing operations on residential streets. In some areas, travel may remain difficult for low-profile vehicles. Drivers are advised to travel with care.
Along with the delay in city trash collection, the Pierre Regional Landfill is closed until Monday.
