Today (July 8), Morris, Inc. will be paving Sully Avenue from Polk Street to Buchanan Avenue in Pierre. Vehicles should be removed from this portion of Sully Avenue. Once barricades are removed, vehicles can begin parking on that stretch of Sully Avenue again.
Sanding operations will take place in Pierre tomorrow (Tues.) and Wednesday on:
- Washington Avenue from Capital Avenue to Wells Avenue,
- Sioux Avenue from Washington Avenue to Monroe Avenue,
- Park Street from Jefferson Avenue to Harrison Avenue,
- Sully Avenue from Polk Avenue to Buchanan Avenue and
- Garfield Avenue from Dakota Avenue to Park Street.
While streets will be open to local traffic during sanding, vehicles will need to be removed from the streets between 7am and 5:30pm.
On Thursday and Friday, sand clean-up operations will take place. The same traffic patterns will be followed for the sand clean-up as the sand application.
