Our final Feel Good Friday stories for February…
1. A nursing home administrator recently made a 94-year-old resident’s day . . . when he took her SNOW TUBING in the parking lot. She had never been tubing before, and afterward she said it was very fun!
2. A 100-year-old woman in Michigan celebrated her birthday with a new tattoo, which says “NY NY 1922” . . . the year and place of her birth. She got her first tattoo at age 80 . . . her second at 90 . . . and if she lives to be 110, she says she’ll get one that says something like “Are you still here?” or “I’m still here.”
3. A dog was reunited with her family in California this month, after being missing for 12 YEARS. Her name is Zoey, she’s 13 now, and she’d been dropped out on a rural property. Someone saw her, and took her to a vet. They scanned her microchip, and discovered that she’d been reported missing in 2010 . . . about 60 miles away. (Here’s video of their reunion.)
4. A French restaurant called Zazie, in San Francisco that has a no tip-policy says it wasn’t hit by the labor shortage due to its worker benefits. Instead of tips, it shares all profits with its staff . . . offers paid family leave . . . health insurance . . . and a 401k with employer match.
5. A radio host in England was in the middle of a show last Friday when he found out his wife had just gone into LABOR. He obviously left to be with her, and their new daughter Robyn is doing great. He was in the middle of reporting on a bad storm when it happened, so they made her middle name “Storm”
6. A group of first-graders in Alabama all got certificates and medals this month after saving their teacher’s life. She had Covid but didn’t know it, and started having a SEIZURE. So they ran and got help, and she’s doing much better now.
