Hughes County Auditor, Treasurer, Equalization and Register of Deeds offices to close to the public at 4:30pm starting tomorrow

Starting tomorrow (April 1, 2022), four of the offices in the Hughes County Courthouse in Pierre will close to the public half an hour earlier.

The county commission decided last month (Feb. 2022) to change the hours for the Auditor, Treasurer, Equalization and Register of Deeds offices to 8am-4:30pm. Closing to the public 30 minutes earlier will allow the staff to complete their work without having to stay late and work overtime.

The hours for all other Hughes County offices in the Courthouse remain 8am-5pm.
