HURON – Aberdeen Christian pulled away in the second and third quarters Thursday to top Lyman in a Class B SoDak 16 game at the Huron Arena, 64-45. The Knights return to the state tournament after qualifying in 2020 and losing in the championship game last year. The Raiders’ bid for a second straight state tournament appearance was thwarted.
Malek Wieker had 16 points for Aberdeen Christian (20-3). Ethan Russell scored 15 and Andrew Brennan scored 12, including 10 in the second quarter.
Lyman (16-7) was led by the 12 points of senior Sam McClanahan. Colton Collins scored 11 points and Isaac Thomas had 10.
