RAPID CITY – Unbeaten Dakota Valley is now a win away from the school’s first state championship after a win in the semifinals Friday at the SDHSAA Class A Boys State Tournament at the Summit Arena at the Monument. Sioux Valley made its first title game after stopping St. Thomas More.

Dakota Valley 59, Flandreau 47
The Cossacks (25-0) steadly built a lead as Isaac Bruns scored 20 with three three-pointers. Sam Faldmo scored 14.
Tash Lunday scored 23 points for Flandreau (20-4).
Sioux Valley 54, St. Thomas More 46
Sioux Valley (20-5) led from start to finish while shooting 57% from the field and holding More to 28%. Hayden Ruesink scored 19 on 7-of-8 shooting.
Caleb Hollenback scored 19 for More (21-3).
Consolation
Sioux Falls Christian 86, Groton Area 56
The Chargers (15-10) had a 28-7 run in the second half to run away after the game was tied. Brooks Nelson was 8-of-11 shooting with 18 points.
Lane Tietz had 18 points for Groton Area (20-5).
