Public invited to Walworth County Natural Hazard Mitigation Plan Meetings

The WarHawk Emergency Management District, which includes Walworth County, is
updating the existing Natural Hazard Mitigation Plan. Hazard Mitigation Planning helps
minimize the impact of natural disasters.

Two planning meetings are scheduled in Walworth County on Monday, March 4th. The
first one will be at 10:00am at Mobridge City Hall. The second one will be at 2:00pm at
the Walworth County Courthouse in Selby.

Public Involvement is a requirement of the Plan and anyone who is interested in
developing the Plan is encouraged to attend and provide comments on natural hazards
such as flooding, strong winds, winter storms, summer storms and drought within
Walworth County.
