Funeral services for Anthony Clark, 56, of Faith will be at 10:30 AM, Friday, October 1, 2021, at the Faith Community Center. Burial will be at the UCC Cemetery in LaPlant under the direction of Kesling Funeral Home of Mobridge. Visitation will be from 6-8 PM, Thursday at the community center. Anthony passed away Monday, September 27, 2021, at the Cheyenne River IHS in Eagle Butte. Anthony’s Services will be livestreamed on the Kesling Funeral Home Facebook Page.
Anthony (Tony) Ray Clark was born on April 13th 1965 in Eagle Butte SD to Kathleen Traversie and Ray Clark. He was raised on the Clark Ranch southeast of Eagle Butte with his four siblings Leroy, Travis, April, and Jesse. They were raised by their grandparents Dorothy and Dale Clark. He graduated from Eagle Butte in 1983. In 1985 Tony joined the United States Marine Corps and was stationed at Camp Pendleton. While stationed at Camp Pendleton he met a guy named Don Kuykendall, where they later relocated to Arkansas in 1989. While in Arkansas Tony met the love of his life Cindy Lynn Franklin. Tony and Cindy married in 1990. Tony and Cindy had two children, Wyatt Anthony Clark was born in 1990 and Michon Lynn Clark was born in 1993. In 1995 the family moved to Faith South Dakota. After moving to Faith, Tony started working at the local grocery as a butcher. The family settled into faith and this was where they raised the family. Tony was a simple man. He loved to cut meat, cook food, be around his kids and grandkids. Tony also enjoyed watching football, especially his Pittsburgh Steelers.
Tony is survived by: his wife Cindy Clark of Faith SD, son Wyatt Clark of Bowman ND, Daughter Michon (Matthew Beck) Clark of Bowman ND, his 2 grandchildren Blaise Clark/Berkley Beck of Bowman ND his brother Leroy Clark of Hardin Mt, his sister April (Howard) Sharrott San Antonio TX, mother-in-law, his nephew Trenton Clark of St. John ND, his niece Jacey Clark of St. John ND, his nephew Colton Clark of Arkansas, Karen Baird of Fort Smith AR, and brother in laws Billy and Mike Baird of Fort Smith AR.
Tony is proceeded in death by his parents Ray and Kathleen Clark, his grandparents Dale and Dorothy Clark/Maynard and Lucille Traversie his brothers Travis and Jesse Clark and cousins Barbara and Jimmy Picotte, and Jacques Traversie.
