Beverly Ann Gallagher, 87, passed away Sunday, March 5, 2023, peacefully with her husband of 64 years by her side at Avera-Maryhouse in Pierre, SD. Private family services will be held to celebrate her life.

Beverly was born on February 24, 1936, to Henry/Emrich and Mary (Peta) Buzay in Woonsocket, SD. She had one brother Paul Buzay. Beverly’s early years were spent in Woonsocket until the family moved to the farm in the Artesian area.

On August 12, 1958, Beverly married the love of her life William “Bill” Gallagher and they began their life on the ranch near Stephan, SD. To this marriage three children were born: Valerie, William “Bill” and Thomas.

Beverly and Bill spent almost all their marriage on the ranch until 2019 when they moved to Pierre to be closer to their grandkids and great grandkids.

Beverly is survived by her husband Bill, her children: Valerie Gallagher of Faulkton, SD, Bill (Karen) Gallagher of Pierre, SD, and Tom (Cheryl) Gallagher of Box Elder, SD, daughter-in-law Bonnie Gallagher of Pierre, SD, grandchildren: Nerissa (Ron) Strait of Pierre, SD, Adam Gallagher of Denver, CO, Morgan (Cole) Hogg of Faulkton, SD, Renee Gallagher of Rapid City, SD, Felicia (Adrian) Watrous of Rapid City, SD; great-grandchildren: Destiny, Hannah, Jax, Laney, Emrich, Cooper, Heaton, Felix, and Hyacinth. Beverly was preceded in death by her parents Mary and Henry, her brother Paul, and her grandson Andrew.

A memorial fund has been established in her name to benefit Avera-Maryhouse in Pierre, SD.
