Charlotte was born on December 23, 1944, in Huron to Frank and Mayda (Ager) Moody. Charlotte grew up in Ree Heights, South Dakota with her parents and siblings, Edward and Yvonne. She graduated from Ree Heights High School in 1962 and attended business school in Huron. In January of 1964, she married Burle L. Christopherson. Together they spent most of their lives living in Miller where they raised their six children. Charlotte was proud to have made Hand County home most of her life. She worked at First State Bank in Miller for 20 years as Head Secretary to the President and finished her career working at the Miller Veterinary Clinic as the Office Manager. She was passionate about her family and spending time with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren and was known lovingly to them by the nickname “Grams.”
Charlotte was an active member of the First Baptist Church in Miller and was the treasurer for as long as anyone can remember. She enjoyed volunteering as an election worker and was a Girl Scout and 4-H leader in the Miller community. She was an avid gardener and spent hours behind her sewing machine.
Charlotte is survived by her children: LaVerne Christopherson of Yankton, Dawn (Darwin) Engelmann of Sioux Falls, Bonita (Kelly) Artz of Eden Prairie, MN, Michelle (Chris) Leisy of St. Lawrence, Burle (Krisdeana) Christopherson of Mitchell, and Tim (Shelby) Christopherson of Parker, CO; grandchildren: Brian (Erica), Matthew (Bre), Austin, Miranda (Nestor), Cole (Emilee), Emma (Colby), Corey, Ella, Grant, Jayden, Karter, William, and Velicity; three great-grandchildren: Clara, Grayson, and Leo; several nieces and nephews; adopted grandchildren from overseas: Ole, Theo, Lilly, and Francesca; and by her most loyal companion, Maverick.

Charlotte will be remembered for her easy-going, yet outspoken personality. You never knew what to expect Grams to say, and her lighthearted remarks were often unexpected and uncensored. She touched the lives of many and will be deeply missed.
