Mass of Christian Burial for Cody Fischer, 28, of Ft. Yates will be at 11 AM, Saturday, October 8, 2022 at the Kenel Catholic Church. Burial will be at the Fischer Ranch Cemetery under the direction of Kesling Funeral Home of Mobridge. Visitation will start at 4 PM with a prayer service at 6 PM Friday at Kesling Funeral Home in Mobridge. Cody passed away Monday, October 3, 2022, near Cannonball.
Cody Allen Fischer was born February 8th, 1994 in Bismarck, ND to Carmen Left Hand and Tom Wayne Fischer.
He grew up on their family ranch outside of Fort Yates, ND. Cody graduated from Standing Rock High School class of 2013. Cody attended United Tribes Technical College for a brief time before he took up welding classes at Sitting Bull College. He also enjoyed helping his dad round up cattle and hauling hay. He had many interests like driving truck, hunting with his brother or spending time with his family especially his daughter Tatum. Most of his time was spent being a ranch hand on the Two Bears Ranch and his father’s ranch. No matter what it was you could always find Cody making the most of his time throughout the day. Cody was not only a good-hearted man he was also a good father, a self-less son, a courageous brother, the best uncle to his many nieces and nephews, and the greatest friend to have of all time. His humorous personality will be missed by all his uncles, aunties, cousins and those he called brother or sister.
He is survived by his parents Carmen Left Hand and Tom Wayne Fischer, only daughter Tatum Chelsey Fischer; His brothers Shawn (Yvaughn) Harrison, Chet (Jenn) Fischer and Cyle Fischer. One sister Teegan (Dolly) Fischer. Grandparents Clayton Left Hand, Albert & Sharon Two Bears.
He is proceeded in his death by his grandmother Faye Left Hand, Great grandmother Laura Looking Horse, Great grandpa Edwin Fischer.
