Funeral services for Dennise E. Mlady, 73, of Bijou Hills, SD will be 10:30 am Thursday, December 23, 2021 at St. Olaf Lutheran Church in Ola, SD with burial in the Union Cemetery at Bijou Hills, SD. Visitation will begin at 5:00 p.m. Wednesday with a prayer service at 7:00 p.m. at the Hickey Funeral Chapel in Chamberlain.
Dennise Ellen Gray was born January 20, 1948 to Everett and Laurel (Knox) Gray. She attended Gunderson Country School and then Chamberlain High School, graduating in 1967. After graduation, Dennise was united in marriage to Kent Brainard and to this union two sons were born Clint and Josh.
In May of 1985, Dennise was united in marriage to William Mlady and to this union a son, Tate, was born.
Dennise enjoyed home decorating, gardening flowers, and doing some crafting. She especially enjoyed going for drives with Bill to look at wildlife and the countryside.
Dennise made her home on the farm with Bill south of Pukwana, SD. She was a member of St. Olaf Lutheran Church at Ola, SD.
Dennise passed away on December 19, 2021 at Aurora Brule Nursing Home in White Lake, SD at the age of 73 years. Gratefully sharing her life are her husband William “Bill” Mlady of Platte, SD; three sons Clinton (Mary) Brainard of Kimball, SD, Joshua Brainard of Hot Springs, SD and Tate (Jessica) Mlady of Lincoln, NE; a grandson Grayson; two step grandsons; brothers George (Rhonda) Gray of Monon, IN and Andrew (Paula) Gray of Chamberlain, SD; a sister Janet (Alan) Knutson of Mountain Lake, MN; and several nieces, nephews and cousins.
Preceding her in death were her parents.
