Dorri Lynnette (LaRoche) Estes, 51, began her journey to the spirit world on July 7, 2022 in her home surrounded by her family.
Dorri was born on August 17, 1970 to Gladys (Flute) LaRoche and Erwin “Dodo” LaRoche.
She attended school in Lower Brule, Pierre Indian Learning Center and in 1989 she attended Box Elder Job Corp in Nemo, SD.
Dorri worked many years at the Lower Brule Head Start Program. She enjoyed working with all the little kids and teasing with her coworkers. She never complained about work and would do what needed to be done for the benefit of the kids.
After marrying the love of her life, Troy Estes, you would rarely see them apart. Dorri was big on family, and she loved her grandkids more than anything. She was a great cook and loved her NFL Cowboys.
Dorri had many friends and was always the life of the party. She loved to dance, and we can still hear her happy voice yelling “Oot Oot”. She was small but fierce and would fight to defend anyone in need. If she wasn’t attending a pool tournament with her husband, she was at her casa yelling, “D-O-double R-I L-A-capital R-O-C-H-E wanna be E-S-T-E-S.” Her Estes family loved her as much as she loved them, she was a sister to everyone.
Her fighting spirit was evident with her last breath, when the sound of thunder rang out immediately after. Her broken heart was healed with her reunification to her soul mate, Bob and Rosie are together again.
Dorri, your kind soul touched so many lives with your crazy sense of humor and your never-ending love for people. You were so many things, you were friendly, social, happy, stubborn, honest, but most of all, you were loved. We will miss you!
Dorri is survived by her son, Eric Estes; two daughters, Nicole Sisneros, Christy (Francis Flying Hawk) Sisneros; one stepson, Trevor Estes; her parents Gladys (Flute) Laroche and Erwin “Dodo” LaRoche; six brothers, Darrell LaRoche, Jarrid LaRoche, Troy LaRoche, Earl LaRoche, Dillion LaRoche, Shiloh Small Jumper; six sisters, Judith LaRoche, Danielle Heminger, Connie LaRoche, Dede Bad Horse, Melissa LaRoche, Michelle Small Jumper; 15 grandkids, Tasheena Becker, Tanaysha Becker, Trey LaForge, Tylee LaRoche, Zerica Estes, Embre Estes, Esaias Estes, Essariyah Estes, Celsen Estes, Shayla Flying Hawk, Samuel Flying Hawk, Sarah Flying Hawk, Sylus Sisneros, Zarissa Ziegler, Sophia Carter, and many nieces and nephew.
