Elvis “E” Wayne Fast Horse was born on March 9, 1987, to Minnie Fast Horse, in Eagle Butte, South Dakota. Growing up in White Horse, he embraced his identity as a “White Horse Outlaw,” with his brother Nephi “Amps.” There he began developing a passion for horses and the outdoors. From an early age, he showed a natural talent for horsemanship, learning to break horses and participating in memorial horseback rides—traditions that connected him deeply to his Lakota roots.
In the early 2000s, Elvis relocated to Wakpala, South Dakota, where he attended Smee Public School. It was there that he met his sister, Bethany End of Horn. Together, they shared many memorable experiences, one of which was their involvement in the Bahá’í Faith group. Their faith led them on travels to various parts of the United States and even to Canada, broadening Elvis’s appreciation for spirituality and culture.
After his time in Wakpala, Elvis moved to Sioux Falls, South Dakota, where he built a new chapter of his life. His charismatic personality and caring nature earned him a large circle of friends who quickly became like family to him. He was known for his loyalty and his deep love for those close to him.
