Eric Brown, 32, of Mobridge passed away Wednesday, January 1, 2025 at the Mobridge Regional Hospital. Funeral services will be held on Monday, January 13, 2025 at the Wakpala Community Center at 1:00 PM. A wake service will be held on Sunday, January 12, 2025 at the Wakpala Community Center. Interment under the direction of Kesling Funeral Home will be held at St. Elizabeth’s Episcopal Cemetery, Wakpala.

Eric Sherman Duane Thompson-Brown was born on December 26,1992 in Bismarck, ND to Emmalee Thompson and Kevin Brown. He spent his grade school years in Wakpala SD. In 2006 his family had to moved to McDermitt, NV where he graduated high school in 2011.

After high school his interest in the mining industry became his occupation as a core driller where he worked in several states Nevada, Utah, South Carolina and Idaho.  He is the eldest of five siblings all of whom he was very close to and loved very much.  Eric has always been one of a kind, he loved to play basketball, spend time with his family and close friends. He loved lending a hand to anyone who asked.

Eric is survived by his eight children, Bruce, Bryer, Brayze, Amara, Ayvee, Ayah, Aarrow, and Keen Brown, His mother Emmalee Thompson , One special friend Tia Crutcher, His brothers Tracy Brown, Warwick and Dezmund Crutcher, His one sister Ever Crutcher as well as his hunka brothers Shane Oka, Bill Belle and Adam James Rough Surface, his hunka sister Stephanie Garter and uncle Alfred Has Horns.

He is proceeded in death by his dad Kevin Brown, his grandfather Bruce Thompson, grandmother Marlene Bald Eagle, two uncles, Baby Jeff Cadotte and Kyle White Owl, grandpa Bernard Cadotte.
