Evelyn R. Veaux, “Tȟašíyagmuŋka Ská Wiŋ – White Meadowlark Woman”, age 90, of LaPlant, SD, entered the Spirit World on Sunday, July 14, 2024 at Medicine Wheel Village at Eagle Butte, SD.
A funeral service will begin at 10:00 AM, Thursday, July 25, 2024 at Rooks Funeral Services at Star Nation Center at Eagle Butte. Burial will follow at the Veaux-Bartlett Family Cemetery at LaPlant, SD.
Evelyn is survived by sons, Herbert LaVaux, Denton, TX, Tiokasin LaVeaux, Stone Ridge, NY, Terrence Veaux, Kyle, SD, Leon Veaux, Steve Bartlett a nd Clinton Bartlett of Eagle Butte. A brother, Mike Bowker of LaPlant. 38 grandchildren, 64 Great Grand Children and 6 Great-Great Grandchildren.
