Funeral Services for Harry Little Eagle of Bullhead, SD will be at 10 AM, CT on Friday, May 21, 2021 at Rock Creek District Building in Bullhead, SD. Burial will be in St. John’s Episcopal Cemetery in Bullhead, SD under direction of the Oster Funeral Home of Mobridge, SD. Procession will be at 3 PM, CT on Thursday, May 20, 2021 from Oster’s to the Rock Creek District Building for wake service to start at 6 PM, CT.  Harry passed away at his home in Bullhead, SD on May 11, 2021. Harry Arden Little Eagle was born on Jan. 21, 1962 to Harry Little Eagle and Lucille (Red Bear) Little Eagle in Bullhead, S.D. He attended Bullhead Day school and graduated from Flandreau Indian School in 1980. His Lakota name was “Tomahawk.”

Throughout his life, Harry loved to play Basketball. He was the driving force and outside shooter in many basketball teams, taking his teams to championship after championship. He played basketball in grade school, high school and many independent basketball tournaments.

Harry was always a proud member of the Rock Creek District, having been born and raised there. He was elected by community members to serve as the Rock Creek District Chairman for two (2year terms) in 1993, and he was elected to Rock Creek District Planning Commission on Feb. 4, 2020, but when COVID – 19 hit, and everything closed down, was unable to complete the certification.

Harry was the proud father of his two sons Arden and Duane Little Eagle and grandchildren: Arden Jr., Aaron, Achilles, Achillion, Acadian and Brenton, Dwight and Lincoln.

He is survived by his children: Arden and Duane Little Eagle; siblings, Velma Balderas, Beverly Haskell, Gaylan Little Eagle Jr., James Little Eagle.

Preceding him in death were one son, Dwight Little Eagle, his parents, Harry Little Eagle Sr. and Lucille (Red Bear) Little Eagle, sisters Virginia Little Eagle, Rita Little Eagle, Patricia Little Eagle and Margaret Little Eagle; brothers, Gerald Little Eagle and Theodore Little Eagle; nephew, Alec “Charlie Chan” Little Eagle, Maternal grandparents, Alex Little Eagle and Margaret (DeRockBraine) Little Eagle, Maternal grandparents, Sam Cadotte and Jennie Red Bear. Uncles, Jerald Brown Sr., Richard Brown Sr., Patrick (Cedar Boy) Brown and Francis Brown, and Uncle Oley Little Eagle and cousin Oley Red Bear, and many relatives of the Wambli Tiospaye.
