Jamie A. Ahlemeier, 43, of Gettysburg, passed away Monday, February 26, 2024, in Gettysburg.
Funeral services will be 11:00 a.m., Saturday, March 2, 2024, at the United Methodist Church, Gettysburg, with Pastor Jeff Adel presiding. Burial will follow in the Gettysburg Cemetery. A prayer service will be 6:00 p.m., Friday, March 1, 2024, at the church, with visitation one-hour prior.
Jamie Ann Bretthauer was born December 11, 1980, in Denver, CO to Steve and Beverly (Alsop) Bretthauer. As a child, she was full of energy and always happy. Jamie received her education from Englewood High School and later completed her G.E.D.
Jamie was united in marriage to Kevin Ahlemeier of Gettysburg and welcomed three children: Kayden, Haylie, and Brynlie. She later met Deryk Drew and welcomed her baby daughter, Trynitie.
Jamie was a woman with a heart of gold, had a positive outlook on life, and was a strong believer. Above all, her children were her entire world.
Over the years, Jamie worked various jobs with Gettysburg High School, Avera Gettysburg Hospital and Oahe Manor, SD Women’s Prison, and the City of Gettysburg. When not working she did all she could to be present for her family and friends. She was a great friend with a giving heart and always made it a point to remember special days.
Jamie will truly be remembered for her infectious smile and the way she brought happiness to those around her.
Those who will forever cherish Jamie’s life are her children: Kayden of Gettysburg, Haylie of Sioux Falls, and Brynlie and Trynitie, both of Gettysburg; father, Steve Bretthauer, Parker, CO; mother, Beverly Alsop, Englewood, CO; paternal grandmother, LaVonne Bretthauer, Denver, CO; brother, Nathan Bretthauer, Colorado; step siblings: Erin Vincent and Dan Jowers; aunts and uncles: Kim and Tim Brown, Jerry Bretthauer, Sherm and Reg Alsop, Daniel and Robin Alsop, and James Alsop; and many cousins and friends.
She was preceded in death by her paternal grandfather, Dale Bretthauer and uncle, John Alsop.
Luce Funeral Home of Gettysburg has been entrusted with Jamie’s arrangements.
