Karen worked at Herreid Livestock, Campbell County Extension Office, Hobby Lobby and Snap-On and enjoyed sewing, computer games and spending time with her kitty, Emma. Karen was married to her husband, “Sonny”, for 30 years before she lost him to a farming accident. Being a mother was one of the most important parts of Karen’s life, a role that gave her much pride and joy. She was a wonderful mom, who was supportive, kind, and available and we will all miss her dearly.
Karen ventured to Illinois in 1999 to be closer, and to spend as much time with her children and grandchildren as she could. Karen’s generous love and kindness was felt by her family and friends alike as she had a way about her that quieted hearts. Karen is survived by her children Sheri Corcoran (Tim), Joel (Allison) and Chad (Lisa), her grandchildren Cassidy, Riley and McKenna Corcoran, Trae, Kelsey and Johnny Berndt, and Olivia Berndt, Joe, Jordon and Jameson Waugh and her brothers Clayton and Clyde (Jackie) Fuehrer. Karen was predeceased by her husband Alan “Sonny”, her son Todd and her parents Rebecca and Edwin.
