Funeral Services for Kelly Ann (Thompson) Reiss age 43 of Aberdeen,SD formerly of Mobridge, SD will be at 1 PM, CT on Saturday, January 23, 2021 at the Wakpala Smee School, Wakpala, SD. Father Kim Fonder officiating. Burial will be at St. Elizabeth’s Episcopal Cemetery in Wakpala, SD. Family and friends will follow in procession on Saturday Morning at 10:30 AM, CT from Oster’s to the School for viewing will start at 11 AM, CT. Kelly entered the Spirit World on January 18, 2021. Kelly Ann Thompson or otherwise known as Babygirl passed in her home at the age of 43, on January 18, 2021 and is no longer in pain.
Kelly was born April 17th 1977, to Debra McDade and Rodger Bruce. At one month old she was Adopted to Harriet and Alivin Thompson who precede her in death.
Kelly’s child hood consisted of being in a huge family. In her free time she spent it playing basketball, fancy dancing, track, and being a Teen mom, to her first born Jasmine Thompson, with her life long best friend is Holly Hunt.
Kelly’s education was Theodore F. Riggs high School in Mobridge graduating in the class of 1994. After high school she moved to Aberdeen bought her first home and continued on her education at presentation college. She almost finish her nursing degree just falling short a couple credits.
Kelly was a Grandmother, Best friend, and Mother.
She married twice first to John Stringer in 2004 and second to Gregory Reiss in 2014. Her greatest joy was her best friend/grandson Travis Joseph Four Bear and her two daughters Jazmine (28) and Krysten (21). Watching her daughters become independent women was something she was always proud of. Her favorite hobbies where darts she even placed in state in 2016 with her team.
Kelly was Stubborn and as hard headed as they come, but that didn’t mean she didn’t love twice as hard because of it. She was always there when you need a hug, a shot, or just a place to restart.
Kelly is survived by her daughter Jasmine Thompson & Chet Four Bear, children Travis Joseph Four Bear, Kenai, Keighan and Kobe
