Kevin Paul Mulloy, 66, of Sioux Falls, died Tuesday April 28, 2020 at his home.
Kevin Paul Mulloy, son of Cletus and Madelyn (Scherr) Mulloy, was born on Sept. 30, 1954. Kevin graduated from Mobridge High School and moved to Sioux Falls where he enjoyed a full life.
Grateful for sharing in Kevin’s life are his daughter, Cassie, her husband, David Cox and their six children, Natalie, Brayden, Gavin, Chloe, Addison and Quinten; his son, Matthew and his two sons, Maxfield and Liam; his father, Cletus; his brother, Jon Pat and his daughter Katrina; his sister, Mary Lisa, her husband, Brian Borgstadt and their children, Chris and Mary Beth; his brother, Clete, his wife, Kara and their daughters, Kate and Julia; and many other relatives and friends.
Kevin was preceded in death by his mother, Madelyn and his brother, Tim.
Kevin enjoyed building model cars, participating in the kindness rocks project – creating beautifully intricate designs, and had a great passion for playing the piano.
Giving Kevin some of the best joys in his life were watching his eight grandchildren grow up. Natalie and Kevin shared a love of art. He was always amazed by Brayden’s academic excellence and ability to make everyone feel loved. He loved talking to Gavin about soccer and hearing about his athletic achievements. Kevin loved watching Max excel at all sports, especially his grace on the soccer field. He marveled at Chloe’s playful imagination. Kevin always looked forward to Liam’s “hello” and “goodbye” Poppy hugs. He was amazed at (and took credit for) Addison’s blue eyes. And Kevin loved Quin’s excitement when seeing his beloved Westie, Charlie, on Facetime.
Kevin took great pride in the Mulloy name and his Irish heritage. He was the center of laughter with his charming wit and amazing ability to capture everyone’s attention through story telling. Never was it more prevalent than at family gatherings where he loved to share stories and provoke sibling banter.
Above all else, Kevin enjoyed making people laugh and had an effortless and natural way of brightening up someone’s mood with his irreplaceable sense of humor. To those that had a chance to grace his presence, he made sure you knew he had the world’s greatest head of hair. He couldn’t wait for tomorrow. When asked why, he would say, “Because I get better looking every day.”
Kevin made it no secret to the ones he loved, but to those of you who are still wondering how he got to be so funny……
