PIERRE, SD – Loni Rae Norman, 77, of Pierre, SD died Wednesday, October 15 at Avera Maryhouse in Pierre. Visitation will be from 5:30-7pm with a 7pm prayer service on Wednesday, October 22, 2025 at Isburg Funeral Chapel. Funeral service will be 10am on Thursday, October 23, 2025 at First United Methodist Church in Pierre. Burial will be in Scotty Philip cemetery at Fort Pierre.
Loni was born in Pierre, SD on December 22, 1947, to Philip and Maxine (Pugh) Norman. She grew up in Rural Stanley County where she attended rural Carr School before graduating from Pierre Riggs High School in 1966. After high school, she attended Black Hills State College, then returned to Pierre to begin her new journey as a mother, giving birth to her son, Jeff Rheborg. Her second son, Richard Siedschlaw, was born in Watertown joining their blended family of Jeff, two brothers and two sisters. Soon after, the family moved to Hayes, SD where they farmed and ranched.
Loni played hard and worked harder, as she devoted her life to her children, grandchildren, family, friends, and community. She was a member of the Happy Home Club, Eastern Star #90, Hayes Drama Club, Bible studies and other church activities, and bowling. She was a volunteer for Reading Buddies and St. Mary’s Foundation, as well as, many more activities. If someone needed assistance with anything, she was right there for you. She loved to garden, bake, sing and dance, but most of all, loved her children and family intensely.
Loni is survived by her children: Jeff (Jackie) Rheborg, Richard (Lynn) Siedschlaw; Grandchildren: Bailey, Graiden, and Ella; Three brothers: Keith (Linda) Norman, Bruce (Mary) Norman, Mitch (Corinne) Norman; Two sisters: Marcia (Bill) Shell, Marva Lee (Dave) Vogel. Numerous nephews and nieces, as well as grand nephews and nieces and step families.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Philip and Maxine Norman.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be directed to Countryside Hospice and Memory Center.
