Funeral services Lynette Marie Logg, 37, of McLaughlin will be at 10:30 AM, Monday, June 26, 2023, at Kesling Funeral Home in Mobridge. Burial will be at the Iron Cloud Family Cemetery under the direction of Kesling Funeral Home. Visitation will start at 5 PM with a prayer service at 7 PM Sunday at the funeral home. Lynette passed away Thursday, June 15, 2023, at the Mobridge Regional Hospital.
Lynette Marie Logg was born on January 14th, 1986 to Vernetta Iron Cloud and Llewellyn Logg in Bismarck, North Dakota. Lynette attended Mobridge Elementary school and middle school at Standing Rock Grant school. Lynette started high school at Wakpala High and graduated high school from Mobridge High at the age of 18 while pregnant with her first child, Tristian Parisien. During her time in school, Lynette loved to stay active and excelled in volleyball, cheerleading, boxing, cross country running and track. Lynette was also active in Youth Group in the AG church where she was dedicated as a baby. During this time in her life, Lynette is described as being shy, quiet, fun, sarcastic and active. Lynette attended Sitting Bull College for 2 years before withdrawing from classes to focus on raising her children, as she was pregnant with her second child, Tyleigha Parisien.
From 2009 to 2011 Lynette was married to her first husband Justin Austin and to this union she had her third child, Tayvin Austin.
In 2014, Lynette married Everett Black Fox, who would end up becoming her life partner. To this union, she had three more children: Raquel, Apollo and Abigayle Black Fox. She also had two stepchildren, Ean Black Fox and Mikal Flyingbye, whom she helped raise. Though she didn’t help raise her other stepson, Connor Yellowearrings, she supported him in many ways.
Lynette was a jack of all trades and had worked a variety of jobs including Cage Cashier, Surveillance and Slot Technician at the Grand River Casino and Resort as well as jobs at both Payless Foods and Merkel’s Foods in Mobridge, SD. While residing in Minnesota, she worked at the Jennie-O Turkey store. Lynette was a caretaker at heart and loved animals. Anyone that knew Lynn knew she was also the world’s biggest Steelers fan. Lynn had also recently taken up running again and enjoyed staying active as a family. Above all else, Lynette loved being an Iná to her children and loved her nieces and nephews dearly.
Lynette was a proud member of the Standing Rock Sioux Tribe and had family from Cheyenne River as well. By the end of her life, Lynn had embraced the Lakota way of life and was learning the language and teaching it to her babies.
On June 15th, 2023 at 5:32 p.m. at Mobridge Regional Hospital, Lynette began her journey to the spirit world.
Lynette is survived by her children Tristian Parisien, Tyleigha Parisien, Tayvin Austin, Raquel Black Fox, Apollo Black Fox, and Abigayle Black Fox; her mother Vernetta Iron Cloud; her little sisters Nettie Farmer (Dale) of St. Cloud, MN and Sara Wells (Wakaya) of Minneapolis, MN.
Lynette was greeted into the spirit world by her father Llewellyn Logg, her paternal grandparents Joshua Logg Sr. and Virginia Logg (Black Prairie Dog) and her maternal grandparents Vernon Iron Cloud and Theo Iron Cloud (Good House).
