Our world will never be the same, but we are fully aware that we have to opportunity to spend eternity with her if we choose to believe in Jesus.
Lynn Ella Lindemann was born on January 12th, 1947 to Reinhold and Ella Lindemann, near Eureka, SD. She joined two excited sisters, Olivia and Vivian. Lynn grew up in the Eureka, SD area and then moved to Northern State College, Aberdeen, where she met her best friend, Kenneth Paul Larsen. It was love at first sight – forever. They were married on May 28th, 1966 and have travelled the world and the intricacies of life – the good, the bad, the sad, and the most incredible – together. Of all the people left on Earth to mourn Lynn, Ken will do so the most.
Throughout the years with Ken they lived in Isabell, SD, Kalispell, MT, Beach, ND, and since 1979, Fort Pierre, SD. She spent her life teaching – her children and others. She was a piano teacher for many years, taught in a remote SD country school, taught music in Harold, SD, was a library assistant at Riggs High and the ISS supervisor at Pierre Junior High.
Ken and Lynn loved to travel the USA and abroad, and road trips all over the USA were their favorite! They loved to bring the world to SD, as well, and as such, worked for EF Tours to bring over 150 Foreign Exchange Students to the central South Dakota area. They both hosted coordinated students from many countries, and in addition to her immediate family, many teenagers were blessed with her kindness and compassion.
Lynn was blessed from an early age with the grace of her Savior, Jesus, and has never questioned that Truth. With His love, she loved. She loved, and loved, and loved. All who knew her could feel her love. In her honor, please love and forgive like Lynn did. Do random acts of kindness. Invest yourself in others. Plant flowers in parks. And, if you would, consider the best truth ever; Salvation is attainable to all through Jesus, no matter what. Salvation is free and cannot be earned, it only takes faith in Biblical truth.
Lynn is survived by Ken, her best friend & husband of 57 years; her children, Natalie (Adam) Frazin, Jody (Sean) Jordet, Kristi (Ryan) Brewer, and five living Grandchildren – Sarah, Evan and Erica Frazin, Elliana Jordet, and Amber Brewer. She was recently preceded in death by her beloved Grandson, Aaron Brewer, age 16. We find comfort in both losses by the knowledge they are together again, playing their special game, “caps.”. Also greeting her in Heaven on this day were her infant daughter, Dara Lynn, her parents Reinhold and Ella, her Aunt Violet, her sisters, and many others who have gone before her. We are envisioning their grand reunion! When we get to eternity, we will find her in the gardens off the music area of Heaven, surrounded by some of her favorite cats – tending to every beautiful green and colored botanical beauty. We can only imagine the joy of that day we join her.
Lynn helped write this obituary, knowing her race was coming to the end. Lynn wants you to know she is happy and at peace. Her favorite verses are Psalm 46:1 and 118:24
There is no gravesite service planned at this time, as we plan to intermix her ashes with Ken’s at a later date and honor them together on Earth, as they will be in Heaven.
Dearest Lynn, thank you. Jesus loves you, this we know. Well done, good and faithful servant.
In lieu of flowers, Lynn requests memorials to For His Glory Christian School (Pierre, SD), The Jesus Film Project, or the Gideons.
