Marcel L. Jewett, age 74, of Eagle Butte, SD, begin his spirit journey to Star Nation on Monday, August 7, 2023 at the Cheyenne River Health Care Center at Eagle Butte, SD.
Marcell is survived by three sons, George Jewett of Rapid City, SD, Jayme Jewett of Holcomb, KS, and Marcel “Sonny” Jewett, Jr. of Pierre, SD. One daughter, Traci Jewett of Eagle Butte. One brother, Greg Jewett of Eagle Butte, and a sister, Marcelline Leistmister of Parade, SD. 11 Grandchildren, 1 Great Grandchild, 8 nieces and 5 nephews.
A vigil prayer service and veteran’s roll call honoring will begin at 6:00 PM, Wednesday, August 16, 2023 at All Saints Catholic Church, with Fr. John-Paul Trask Officiating. A wake service will follow at the White Horse Community Center, White Horse, SD,. A Traditional Lakota Funeral Service will begin at 11:00 AM, Thursday, August 17, 2023 at the White Horse Community Center. Burial with Full Military Honors will take place at St. Theresa’s Catholic Cemetery at White Horse, SD.
