Margaret Lynn Eaglestaff entered this world at 1:19 a.m., Wednesday, August 31, 2022 at Avera St. Mary’s Hospital in Pierre, SD. She was welcomed by her parents Lance and Kate (Sheffield) Eaglestaff, grandma Suzanne Eaglestaff, and sister, Ashley. After four beautiful and all too short hours with Margaret, she returned to the spiritual realm at 5:17 a.m.

Viewing will be from 10:00 –11:30 a.m. MDT, Saturday, September 3, 2022, at the Eaglestaff home, 193 N Turtle Drive, Eagle Butte, SD.  Burial will follow in the Dupris Cemetery, Cherry Creek.

Margaret is survived by her parents; siblings: Jordan Davis, Ashley Davis, Treysen Eaglestaff, Teysean Eaglestaff, Kenneth Eaglestaff, Darian Eaglestaff, Cedar Eaglestaff, Alison Eaglestaff, Damien “Sun” Clown, Lauryn Clown and Eli Eaglestaff; maternal grandmother: Lynn Gillis; paternal grandmothers: Suzanne Eaglestaff, Donna Jean Jetty Eaglestaff, and Sara Young Bird; aunties: Wambdi Eaglestaff, Laura (John) Hunt, Sharla, Tabitha, and Duanna Silk; uncles: Nicholas and Ben Sheffield, Hans (Robbyn Pudwill) Bradley, Dave (Nicole) Archambault II, Wade Keeps Eagle, Jerran (Shauna) Elk, Shane Head Dress, Brian (Michelle) Thunder Hawk, Evan Thompson, Russell (Jamie) Young Bird, John (AnnD) Taken Alive, Dean Dupris, Ferlin and Rollie Knight and Jay (Jolee) Clark.

She was preceded in death by her maternal grandfather, Paul Sheffield; paternal grandfather, Duane Silk; maternal great-grandparents: Clifford and Alice Gillis and Frank and Bernice Sheffield; paternal great-grandparents: Esau and Marguerite Eaglestaff; auntie, Jessica Eaglestaff; and uncle, Charles Silk.

Luce Funeral Home of Gettysburg has been entrusted with Margaret’s funeral arrangements.
