Marilyn Janine Agneaux was born December 8, 1980 in Eagle Butte, SD to Gilbert Agneaux and Nadine Bagola/Fisherman. She received her education at Cheyenne Eagle Butte School, graduating in 1999.
In 1998 she met Scott Louis, they married and had three children, Jasmine Jayde, Eryn Danielle and Xavier Charles. Marilyn ran her own daycare business until they moved to Pierre in 2005. In 2007, Marilyn and Scott went their separate ways, which later grew into a great friendship. She remained in Pierre and met Danny Salter in September of 2009. That same year she was a CNA for Mary House in Pierre, SD. Soon after, a precious little Elijah Salter made his debut on June 17, 2011. As the years went on, Marilyn became a grandmother to Jasmine Louis’ sweet little boy, Kellan Louis, on September 18, 2012. She loved her grandbaby so much. In 2014, Marilyn started working for the State of South Dakota, as a title processor. On September 17, 2016, she and Danny married and enjoyed the remainder of her life as her children grew.
Marilyn had the kindest heart, her smile and laugh lit up the whole room. When you needed a hug, she was there to help pick up the pieces and she’ll always say “you got this…” meaning we got this together. She loved her kids more than anything and everyone in the world. Once she started her teasing, that alone would make you laugh and totally forget what the whole conversation was about. Marilyn loved making home cooked meals for her kids and family, she also loved roses and sunflowers. As many mothers would die for their children, she herself tried her very best to stay for her children.
Marilyn is survived by her mom, Nadine Bagola/Fisherman; husband, Danny Salter; children: Scott Louis, Jasmine Louis (Tucker Fischbach), Eryn Louis, Xavier Louis, Elijah Salter; siblings: Arleen Agneaux, Quentine Agneaux, Denaye Agneaux (Renatta Morningstar, Devon Davis); aunt, Deloris Bagola/Cook and Cook Family; uncle, Dale Bagola and the Bagola Family; nieces: Ashley (Seth) Poland, Aubree Iron Moccasin, Rhondee Ganje, Jesse Agneaux, Storme Agneaux, Shai’Don Dupris, Kaylee Agneaux, Natelie Mound (Laurice Morningstar), Aurora Whiteman, Aria Davis; nephews: Ashton Iron Moccasin, Ryan Iron Moccasin, Jade and Gavin Agneaux, Dylan Mound; grandbabies: Kellan Louis, Lillian Chavez, Sakoiya Agneaux, Esmae Rice, Anthony Poland, Ausha Virnoche, Arias Hall, Drayton, Jeryn, Gia.
