Michael Hal Duffy, formerly of Ft. Pierre, SD, passed away in Monument, CO on May 22, 2021, days before his 74th birthday. The family will hold a grave-side service at Scotty Philip Cemetery at a later date.

Michael was born on May 31, 1947 to Edward Duffy and Doris (Glessner) Duffy. He grew up in Ft. Pierre and attended Stanley County High School. In 1968, he married Linda Young. From this union, three sons were born—Patrick, Daniel, and Shane. Michael moved to Denver, CO in 1977 and later to Monument, CO. In Monument, Michael made many friends who cared deeply for him.

Michael is survived by sons Patrick (Shelby) and Shane; grandson, Kieran; brothers Steven (Helene) Duffy and Terry (Wendy) Blegen; sisters Dana (Dan) Duffy-Costner and Barb (Dan) Downs; step-mother Patricia; and a very close cousin Ed Girten.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Edward and Doris; wife, Linda; son, Daniel, two sisters, Diane Duffy-Ehnes, and Darci Deal; and a brother, Dan.
