In his early 20s, Myron worked construction throughout the Midwest. Myron enjoyed drag racing his early 1960 Chevy Impala at the Central US Dragway in Pierre, SD. By the end of his racing career, he had accumulated 23 trophies.
Myron used his mechanical talents and love of cars and joined his brother as co-owner of Willard’s Repair. On May 14, 1967, he married Ann Hartman. They made their home a mile and a half north east of McLaughlin where they raised four children. Myron farmed and ranched while continuing to work full time at Willard’s Repair. During his free time he enjoyed tending to his cattle, fixing fences, putting up hay, and repairing his farm equipment. Myron was a very hard worker and honest man.
In his later years, he quit farming but continued with the cattle. As the years went by, he slowly downsized the herd until he decided to sell the remaining herd because of health issues.
