Rosemary (Glines) Kopp was born October 2, 1943, in Mobridge, SD, to Richard Sr. and Theresa (Stoick) Glines. Her parents farmed and ranched east of McIntosh, SD. She was the eldest of ten children. She attended and graduated from McIntosh High School in 1961. Following graduation, she married and raised her family in Lead, SD. While living in Lead, she worked as a telephone operator, a waitress, and at the local bowling alley where she also bowled on a league. She later started her career with Montana Dakota Utilities (MDU) where she worked in the Lead, Mandan, and Rapid City offices until 1995.
Later in 1995, she moved to McIntosh, SD, to care for her grandkids. After a few years, they all moved to Bismarck, where she accepted a position with the ND Department of Human Services and worked until retirement.
Rosemary had many talents and hobbies. She was an avid quilter and sewer. She enjoyed crocheting, baking, Scrabble, playing cards, collecting and crafting, all hobbies passed down from her mother. She took great pride in her work and liked to make others happy. It brought her great joy to help her family. She enjoyed cooking family meals and having everyone together.
Rosemary’s home in Bismarck was the hub where family stayed when they came to town. She had a special relationship with her sisters; you could often find them together at her place playing cards and Scrabble. If she wasn’t hosting card night, she was getting ready for the next craft show. She had a love for old country music; but her all-time favorite musician was Elvis!
Rosemary enjoyed visiting with people and could stop and have a conversation anywhere. She will be greatly missed by her family and friends that loved her.
