Ruby Lutzka, 91, of Pierre, SD passed away on Wednesday, January 6, 2021 at Avera St. Mary’s Hospital in Pierre.
Ruby was born on December 23, 1929 in Duluth, MN to Clara and Roy Jarvis.
Ruby married Lyle Lutzka and together they raised three children.
Ruby is preceded in death by her husband Lyle; two grandchildren, Nicholas Garone and Cindy Garone; her parents; and two sisters.
She is survived by three children, Lee (Jan) Lutzka of Centennial, CO, Linda (Charlie) Garone of Trinity, FL, and Mark (Kathy) Lutzka of Aurora, CO; six grandchildren, 13 great-grandchildren and 1 great-great-grandchild.
Ruby remarried in 2006 and is survived by husband Kevin Thoen, stepsons Darsey (Pat) Thoen and Jason (Kami) Thoen and seven Thoen grandchildren.
Ruby’s greatest pride and joy was her family and spending time with them. She loved the outdoors and the Denver Broncos. She was a friend to all.
Due to COVID restrictions, a Celebration of Life will be held at a later date.
