Sonny “Tashina” Johnson, age 39, of Sioux Falls, SD, entered the Spirit World on Monday, February 7, 2022, at Sanford Medical Center at Sioux Falls, SD.

Tashina is survived one son, Jeremiah Walker of Huron, SD and one daughter, Sage Pettigrew of Sioux Falls. Her mother, Audrey Elk Looks Back of Sioux Falls. Two brothers, Kermit Miner of Eagle Butte, SD and Nathaniel Blacksmith of Oglala, SD. Four sisters, Sonya Young, Sioux Falls, Kimberly Smith, Huron, SD, Kermitta Miner and Kristin Miner of Harrisburg, SD. 1 Grandchild.

A wake service will begin at 7:00 PM, (CST) Friday, February 18, 2022, at the Blue Community Building, Little Eagle, SD. Funeral services will begin at 11:00 AM, (CST) Saturday, February 19, at the Blue Community Building, with Donald Bobtail Bear and Chris Brooks officiating. Burial with prayers and song will follow at the Elk Horn Cemetery at Little Eagle.

Funeral arrangements have been placed in the care of Rooks Funeral Home of Eagle Butte.
