Tonia Shaving, 43, of LaPlant, passed away Saturday, May 8, 2021 at Sanford Medical Center, Bismarck, ND.
Funeral services will be 11:00 a.m. MDT, Friday, May 21, 2021 at C.R.S.T. Bingo Hall, Eagle Butte. Burial will follow in St. Mary’s Catholic Cemetery, LaPlant. A wake will be 7:00 p.m.,
Thursday, May 20, 2021 at the bingo hall with a procession from the 4 mile east at 4:00 p.m. Tonia Lynn Shaving was born March 4, 1978 at Eagle Butte, SD to Charles and Colette C.
(Charger) Shaving. She received her education from Swiftbird Day School and Cheyenne Eagle Butte.
Tonia is survived by her children: Katana Spotted Bear, Ky Spotted Bear, Nevaeh and Naleah Rosas, and Colette Coleen “CeCe” Shaving; special friend: Dion Rosas; her sisters: Tisha Fast
Horse and Lynelle Buffalo, both of Eagle Butte; brother, Jalen Shaving; her nieces and nephews: Alisha Fast Horse, Kyle Buffalo, Charlie Buffalo, Carl Buffalo, and Colton Buffalo; uncles:
Larry Charger, Sr., and Michael and Francis Shaving; aunts: Delilah Charger, Winona Charger, Jenny LeBeau, Sonya Shaving, and Rita Shaving; close cousin: Cassandra Little Star; and
numerous family members too many to name, but you know who you are.
She now joins in Heaven her parents; nephew, Rueben Fast Horse; grandparents: Phillip and Meta Charger and Paul and Grace Shaving; uncles, Clarence, Leonard and Robert Charger;
aunts: Anna DeHorse, Phyllis Charger and Myrna Charger.
