Ty Christopher Green was born July 14, 1991, to Tyler and Stacey Green at Sioux Valley Hospital in Sioux Falls, SD. He was the oldest of seven children. Ty was born with a stroke disorder and Cerebral Palsy, which left him completely dependent on his parents for his day-to-day care. Lots of Ty’s early days were spent at Grandparents Casey and Dee Hannum’s home or at Great-grandpa Lloyd and Great-grandma Katie Hannum’s house enjoying her homemade tapioca pudding. Grandpa Lloyd always said goodbye to Ty the same way, “send you my love on the wings of a dove” he’d always say. Ty’s disability never stopped him from fully enjoying life. Whether flying through the air while Uncle Tucker and Aunt Jeannie played catch with him across the whole living room, or packing him off to a rodeo, family reunion, sleigh ride, four-wheeler ride, or Christmas tree hunting with Grandpa Kevin and Grandma LeAnna; he had no limits. Where his family went, he went! The only requirement that Ty had was, whatever we were doing, it better be loud! He loved a busy house and especially the sound of his little brothers, Wyatt and Clayton getting in trouble, and later in life Phillip, AJ and Millie. His youngest sibling, Alex, is also disabled, so they shared a bedroom and many nights they could be heard talking over the monitor, in what we could only assume was their “special” language. Oh what fun it would have been to understand and know what kind of “advice” Ty was passing onto Alex.
Ty is survived by Mom and Dad, Stacey and Tyler; Brother Wyatt (Taylor) and nieces, Amira, Ashlyn, Aubrey; Brother Clayton (Kaylee) and niece, Paislee Jo; Brothers Phillip and AJ; Sister Millie; Brother Alex; Grand Parents Casey and Dee Hannum, Kevin Green (Joni Boub), LeAnna Fairbanks (Calvin Waln); Great-grandparents Gene Green and, George and Delpha Fairbanks; many other aunts, uncles, and cousins.
Ty was preceded in death by Great-grandparents Lloyd and Katie Hannum, Great-grandma Winnie Green, very special cousin Chase Novotny.
